VENTILATION METHOD: HOW DOES IT AFFECTS THE PRICE AND QUALITY OF A HAIRSYSTEM?

Lyrical Hair manufactures the highest-quality hair systems. We use 100% real and quality materials. We have hundreds of professional and skilled workers in the production. Each step of the production process is meticulously carried out with excellent technique and precision to ensure that the hair system lasts as long as possible while remaining comfortable and breathable as possible.

In this blog article we will discuss the different ventilation method, how this method is done, its pros and cons, and see how affects the price and quality of our hair system, so keep reading.

THE VENTILATION METHOD
V-looped, Injected, and Knotted are the 3 types of ventilation method. These have traditionally been employed in the manufacture of men’s toupee. These methods cannot be used on all bases because each foundation material is distinct, and each demands different ventilation methods due to its unique features.

Now, let us discuss each type of ventilation method, starting with:

THE KNOTTING METHOD
Knotting can be done in six different ways. The Single Knot, Double Knot, Single Split, and Double Split Knot are the four basic types of knots. Each of these serves a different purpose and varies in terms of strength, visibility, and positioning on the hair system. The knots allow the hair to move more naturally, improve flexibility, and make styling easier.

SPLIT KNOTTING
The difference between split knotting and normal knotting is that the hair system gives the hair strands more lift and creates a more natural look layering, but because the knots are more visible on Skin Based hair systems, it is not uncommon to have both split knotting and normal knotting together to make the knots small enough to be undetectable.

METHOD   ADVANTAGES DISADVANTAGES
SINGLE KNOT The main benefits of the Single Knot method are its visibility; because it is a smaller knot, it appears to be flat, so the best area of the toupee to use this method on is around the perimeter (temple area, back, and sides). The main disadvantages of single knotting are that it is easier for it to become loose because it is only one knot. Hair sheds easily.
DOUBLE KNOT Has a perfectly flat effect. Hair does not sheds easily. Big and should only be used on the more inconspicuous areas
SINGLE SPLIT KNOT The main benefit of Single Split knotting is that it can be used on both Skin and Lace/Mono bases. Hair strands inserted into the base using a single split knot appear more lifted. Because a single split knot is similar to a spring, the hair is split into two directions, making it difficult to direct the hair in one direction.
DOUBLE SPLIT KNOT The Double Split Knot has the advantage of tightly securing the hair strands, making it difficult for the hair to become loose. Furthermore, when it comes to styling the hair system, the hair direction can be easily changed and styled.  The main disadvantage of the double split knot is its size; the knots are larger and more visible, requiring bleaching to blend into the hair system for a more natural appearance.

Our Swiss Lace hair units are knotted using one of two methods: Double Split Knots or Reverse Split Knots. The first method is used in our factory: Double Split Knot
This method requires two actions from the worker to hook a hair and takes twice as long as the second method. It is also twice the price of the hair system. This method has been used by our factory since its inception. Because the hooked hair is less likely to fall out this way. Despite the epidemic's impact, workers' wages have more than doubled. We haven't deviated from our tradition either.
Here's a video of the Double Split Knots method.
Reverse Split is a method used by some factories. As a result, the worker can hook a hair system with a single action. This method saves time and effort, and workers can complete one hair system in a short period of time. However, it has a significant disadvantage. The hair system is prone to hair loss.

V-LOOPED METHOD
V Looped Ventilation is utilized exclusively for skin-based hair systems. This approach cannot be utilized on other bases, such as Lace and Mono systems, because there is no knotting involved in this ventilation method. Because it resembles the natural way hair grows from the scalp, the hair system is more invisible.
The main advantage of V Looped Ventilation is that it is the most cost-effective method for undetectability because it is much less expensive than Injected while still providing the highest quality men's hairpieces in terms of invisibility. It is for this reason that ultra-thin skin and V-loops are used to achieve the most undetectable effect. The main disadvantage is that the hair direction is not as good as with other methods of ventilation
It is difficult to achieve a flat effect when using a V-Looped ventilation method. In other words, in terms of design and styling, this method limits their options.

LIFTED INJECTED SKIN & INJECTED SKIN
The Injected Skin ventilation technique is carried out by expertly injecting it into a skin or silicon base. The Flat Injected method entails injecting the hair at an acute angle into the skin or silicon base. The hair falls naturally in one direction and cannot be styled or combed in another.  Injected ventilation is ranked second for best invisibility, making it the best choice if the client wants the most undetectable hair system and price isn't a concern.
The benefit of injecting hair into the skin is that it is the most natural and has the highest ranking for invisibility when compared to all other ventilation methods. Because of the Injected skin, the hair appears to emerge from the scalp in the same manner as it would from a real head of hair. The main disadvantages are obvious: because there are no knots, the hairs can become loose more easily, necessitating extra caution when brushing. To increase durability, the skin-based will be brushed with poly to keep the hair in place.
As a result, because brush poly is used to fasten the hair roots after injection, the skin cannot be as thin as 0.03mm and should be between 0.06mm and 0.08mm.
